Fr. Jason Lee was ordained a priest on June 23, 2023, by Bishop William Joensen. He was born and raised in Waukee, IA; being the youngest of 3 children. Fr. Lee has a fraternal twin brother and an older sister. His family continues to reside in Waukee. Growing up, he attended the Waukee United Methodist Church. In 2014, he converted to Catholicism and entered the Catholic Church at St. Boniface Church, Waukee, IA. He is a 2014 graduate of WaukeeHigh School .After high school, Fr. Lee attended Iowa State University for his freshman year of college and began discerning a call to the priesthood. Fr. Lee entered St. John Vianney College Seminary at the University of St. Thomas (MN) for his sophomore year of college. Following graduation, he continued his studies in theology at the St Paul Seminary School of Divinity (MN), where he completed his formation for the priesthood. Fr. Lee’s previous assignment includes: Parochial Vicar of Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Church- Ankeny, IA 2023-2025, Pastor of St. Mary’s- Shenandoah, IA and St. Mary’s- Hamburg, IA; 2025-Current.Outside of ministry, you can find Fr. Lee exercising at the gym, reading, enjoying some good Chinese food or with family and friends. 

Fr. Lee is excited to be part of the faith communities at St. Mary’s Church- Shenandoah and St. Mary’s Church- Hamburg and helping them grow in their relationship with God.
